Linux is good....

I've been following the Linux scene for sometime....even though i dun claim to be a pro at it.

Command line can be a pain at times but its good to keep you on your toes.

I went through a few, namely Turbo Linux, Free BSD, Red Hat now Fedora, Mandrake, Ubuntu, Slackware, Gentoo, and a few others.

My favs are now Ubuntu 7.10 and Mepis. Currenty i am testing the Mepis flavour, and its quite simple to use and also very enjoyable.

Scooby is a short for Subaru Imprezza Wrx. The car is superb la....love the design and the raw power esp. the exhaust sounds emanating from its Boxer Engine.



BUT.....to my horror....i get to see this rite after i wake up and was walking to my car.

My boss just came back from Cambodia, and we had a colleague who's bday is tomolo...so she decided to buy lunch which is DUCK !

Today's Bfast !

I was bored of thosai today so i had Roti Sardine whilst my colleague who is crazy eversince i intro-ed her to the world of eating, has been eating the same thing everyday for the past 2 weeks.

What is it? Lontong !

Its nice but, well, takkan every day rite.....

HK's Food Culture

I went to this place with a fellow chatter LadyCyrene to makan since i was in KL so i belanja my fellow chatter a meal.

I owe LadyCyrene and Koche ice cream la...but since i was in town to pick up some stocks i went and bought her lunch la.

We had Curry Fishball and also Soft shell crab with pepper and curry sauce.


I had a bowl of dumpling noodle soup and she had Chee Cheong Fun. Her meal wasn't that nice but my bowl of noodle was not bad.

Ahh....simple food is the best !!! But i think got a lot of aji in the food tho...

Wedding in Kapar....

You know ure in trouble when ure wife's parents have a total of 19 siblings in between them....aiyo!!

Anyways...this wedding is not even her immediate family/relatives. This is one of her god-father's sister's oldest son's wedding. Hahahaha.....

Well i traveled last Sunday to the wedding and brought my daughter....i think she is growing normally other than the fact she loves to smile at everyone...

It was a simple do at a house with good food and idle banters. The Nasi Lemak's sambal was a killer man....the curry chicken RULEZ ! hahaha food again...

Post Father's Day Dinner at O-Sushi

I went to Oh Sushi last Saturday to celebrate a belated Father's Day with my parents.













I liked the ambience and the food. It was a simple gathering and for my parents to see their grand daughter :)

We had quite a lot of food on the table. Shiok !

We had a bowl of Ramen, Fried Rice, Salmon Bento Set, Sushi Set, Chashu Salad, Potato Salad and some individual Sushi plates.

Was a simple day for us :)

What i want my perdana to be when she grows up ...

I was driving home on the federal highway yesterday....it was a sunny day the road was filled with cars.

Subang has changed over the years, many houses and condos are being built on both sides of the highway today. Even Carrefour has new condos on its side being built.





A new highway bridge is being built to connect the Batu Tiga / Old Subang Airport road to the SJMC slip road.

It sure looks like the Setia Alam highway that fell mid way thru the construction....scary






The sun was high in the sky and sometimes it makes you wonder how beautifull life is.

Till you get caught in jam and cuss the crap outta life...hehe







Anyways...as i was driving, i noticed a perdana creeping up on my left and noticed that it was modded. Man it sure looks good as it was keeping it simple and neat just as i would have liked it.

It had mean rims about 18" inchers if i am not mistaken, its got a slim spoiler and its lowered just right.





Imagine my surprise when i see a young lady driving it...its a V6TT Twin Turbo Eterna with a nice front mounted intercooler peeking thru the front bumper.

It sure has loads of power and its got a set of bucket seats for the front passenger and driver.




Sigh...when is it my turn.... :P

Dedicated to LadyCyrene of #30Something

I was chatting on the channel today and a fellow chatter asked me what i was gonna eat...so i tot THOSAI.


So i headed downstairs to my local mamak restaurant and proceeded to get me self a thosai tuna, with onions and chilli strips and a kacang vadai to boot. They served me with Kurma Sauce and also some of their coconut chutney.






Simple and nice for lunch....

Morning Drive

I was sent to Klang to do some installation for a wireless paging system and took a slow drive in the morning towards Klang Town.


It was a breezy and slow day...wish i had a topless car or at least a sun roof as in my previous car. Sigh...


It looked like it was gonna rain as i approached the town. A lot have changed over the years...they have a nice bus stop in the middle of the town but the old food court was still standing strong.


The famous Lotong Klang is still there....it used to be nite time, but its open this morning.




Their nasi lemak is quite good there too....i used to go there with Justin and Gwendolyn....how the time flies.

Tang House of Fishball

I went to this shop in Pee Jay, near paramount coz i was interested in the Tang House of Fishball noodle shop in this place. The place is a sleepy area man....nice place...i grew up in SS4 Pee Jay so this place is kinda nostalgic for me :)






So i ordered a curry mee with get this....CELERY noodles...excellent. The noodles were nice and tasty with a tang of celery taste. The curry wasn't thick and just nice...giving off a nice curry flavour. The fish cakes and extra toppings were superbly fresh.





We even had fish tofu and also fried dumplings. Lovely...nice taste and very fresh...thout the chilli and tomato sauce were under par.



They even have a clause that says....extra noodles no charge. I was shocked when they say, you can have another bowl on them with NO EXTRA CHARGE....my colleagues and me were stunned....next time round i am testing that clause out man....


Siau....

Crazy Breakfast !

Today....my boss went berzerk during breakfast. She sent off a Hongkie on a bus to Singapore via Aeroline in the morning. SO....she was early and wanted some breakfast. At first we wanted to buy the Nasi Lemak from a chinese lady. It had curry pork and petai sambal and sotong sambal....BUT she was finished for the day when we arrived.

So we went for something else....she tar pau-ed the "Chow Lo Pak Gou", Dim Sums, "Cow Yok" paus, Chicken Curry Puffs and some tit bits.




I only tar pau-ed Mee Jawa, so when we went back she was like oh my i tar pau-ed extra....so Jason u got to finish it up.



Samo got red wine for breakfast lolz !!! Beh Tahan man...So SIAU !!!!!!


Arghh....so full man !!!! BURP !!!!!!!

Boring day ....

I was assigned to go to KL Royal China to do a site inspection for the installation of a Wifi Zone in their premises.



I left at 2:00 PM and i managed to get there by 2:35 pm....not bad for an afternoon drive. Was taking a leisurely drive towards KL from Damansara.


Then i stumbled upon a kancil with an L. Makes u wonder...last time i exam undang-undang i use the old Datsun 120y man....NO POWER STEERING and the reverse gear plays a stoopid irritating tune like lorry when i wanted to practice side parking.....sigh....those were the days.

Now they use Kancil sooooo easy man !! Not fair....how come JPJ use Kancil leh....ppl graduate buy car oso bigger then Kancil so their driving perspective oso senget liao leh....




Malaysia boleh...... :P

#30Something

I have left the irc chatting scene for more then 10 years. So this week i was so bored at work that whilst i was using my Mepis OS i noticed that they had this XChat software for irc. I tot to meself....what the hey ! log in....

So i browse thru some channels and saw #30something and i logged in. You know this channel is kinda simple and cool. In a sense i remembered why i used it chat in IRC the past. The ppl are cheerfull and nice....non of those typical "Hi....A/S/L ?" chatters.

Tho the scene has changed from wat it used to be last time. I used to log in via stealth.net to #mamak21 and the peeps there were super fun. I found a lot of close friends there and i still do keep in contact with them offline.

Sigh....nostalgic

Lets see whether i can keep up with the times on the new channel. I feel sluggish these days on the keyboard though....

There is a game on the Nintendo Wii that i am waiting for, 2 games actually.
The first is Wii Music and the other is Rock Band:MTV.

Imagine, waving your arms or drumming to a rock band song. Thats what those 2 games are all about.

Does she look like moi?

A lot of friends and relatives are giving me contradicting facts that my baby girl looks like me. Hehehe i'll scan my picture of meself as a kid later to see if the resemblance is so inherent. My aunt and uncle from my mom's side says the resemblance is towards my side, however it will change as she grows older...

Anyways...she has grown a bit more and i hope all is well with my daughter.
