Puspakom and Car Ownership Transfer....

My dad has passed on for some time and one of the things left un-done is the ownership of his car, which is currently being used by my mom.

So i have been trying to assist my mom to remediate the issue....its quite simple so FAR.

Check list :-

1. Full settlement of the car - DONE
2. Letter of discharge - DONE

**Both 1 and 2 in a day albeit a long one, submitted at 11 AM and getting the letter of discharge at 4 PM....why it takes so long in this digital age...GAWD knows....

3. PUSPAKOM Car Inspection - WHAT ? yeah....have to do this....which brings me to this blog post.
4. JPJ to transfer ownership of car which required FORM K3A (of which a kind JPJ Chinese Gentlemen adviced us in the Taman Desa Maybank branch)

So back to number 3, i was googling and thinking that i have to go line up and queue at Padang Jawa Puspakom/JPJ what with my shift work currently in track and VMware training next week, i would be hard press to help my mom.

A little more search brought me to the PUSPAKOM Website

If you notice they have DOOR TO DOOR SERVICE - DAMN~~~ ! Now thats really service....ok you've got to pay for it - RM 100.00 which i think is worth it if you don't have the time of the day to go to Padang Jawa and sit and wait for them to inspect your car.

I made an appointment for tomorrow on the 16th of November, lets see how it goes and i update here if it goes through for my case in lieu of my dad.

Cheers !

NEX Camera (E-mount) : Interchangeable Lens Camera : Sony Malaysia

NEX Camera (E-mount) : Interchangeable Lens Camera : Sony Malaysia

Digital Still Camera : Cyber-shot™ Digital Camera : Sony Malaysia

Hmm...cams these days are getting smaller and smaller.

Just got a NEX-C3 and it absolutely rocks ! Got rid of my Alpha A200 and am running with the NEX machine.

Recommended for normal users like me, though i think the 5N or 7 is the bomb, i also think its an overkill...

Well.....reviews are very subjective and though some may not like it, i love it....
- Light
- Big screen
- Tilt able
- Fast
- Lens changeable
- 3rd party support available for E or A-Mount lens adapters...

Monitor Setup

I was recently thinking of upgrading my monitor and was about to waste money and buy a 20" to 23" Monitor when my wife (bless her soul) reminded me that i had an old white elephant (Haier 32LA9A) lying around not in use.

So i lugged the bugger down to the AV room, dismantled the speakers and tested with a VGA cable....fuhh 1024 X 768 on a 32 incher was cool....but then i couldn't get it up to the resolution i wanted.

So i noted my dock had a DVI and the LCD TV had one too....a few google search denoted that DVI will allow higher resolutions and i noted the max res on the old TV is 1388 x 768 so i tested with a DVI from Tesco.

Fuh......the RM 32.90 is worth every cent......freaking high DVI resolution digital at its best !!!!

Superb !

Juliette 2011

Well its time to update the blog with some pictures of our pride and joy :)

This was when we were in Malacca at Grand Aunty's shop and the other in the new Jusco Malacca.

Here she is at the Holy Redeemer Church and last with me at Setia Alam Yong Tau Foo shop !

Biking, Klang PCT group, Sen Aik, Setia Alam Night Ride and losing weight...

Hi Guys,

Recently, in my quest to become a much more healthier daddy for Juliette and also in my never ending fight to lose weight, i have started riding the bicycle or to be more precise a mountain bike.

(Coz i think it'd support my weight rather than a normal road bike)

First, lemme tell you the results are really promising, 3 months after riding and i lost approximately 8 kgs and this is not easy mind you. In total as of October 2011 i lost 14 kgs in total.

(This is me when i first joined Eric and co at FRIM, man it was a killer)

However, the recent lost of 8 kgs are also thanks to a bunch of great people that i have met via Sen Aik Trading in Setia Alam.

The Sen Aik bike shop organizes a night ride every Wednesday which runs for approximately 26 km.

The people that i've met there are warm, friendly and very very helpful in pushing you whilst riding (Yeah i am talking about Eric Eng and co :P)

I love every minute of riding on the bike and hope to be able to ride for many years to come.
Now i am on a full suspension frame and having the time of my life...

I think it has less impact as oppose to running or jogging and i think its much safer on my knee joints, however, word of caution, UNLESS YOU ARE FIT don't think of following the leader on the Setia Alam Wed Night Ride....you will regret it....hehehe....i've felt it first hand 3 times now... and it gets better every time i get muscle sprain on my ankles and calf.

I had to also get an engine monitoring system in placed a.k.a HRM or Heart Rate Monitor to make sure i don't over push my self when riding uphill which is quite arduous for a huge guy like me.

I've even in the course of 3 months bent my cassette teeth which to some say can last up to a year and half.....some of the PCT gang say i have high horsepower....i think i'm like a SCANIA truck, high HP but with a heavy load hehehe....check out the pictures.

Then i had to replace a new cassette for the bike :)

I still have a long way to go with regards to riding and will update more in the months to come...

(Hydraulic brakes and 9 speed shifter in the works....)

Recent Happenings....

Had some BBQ sessions at home with some friends over.

I guess the BBQ set bought was put to good use as the guest(s) enjoyed the food...i think.

We had chicken, beef, lamb and some seafood.

There was a weird concoction i learned from Juliette's god mother which is a Banana stuffed with the cheap Cadbury Chocolates you get in school and then char grilled on the burner.

Lemme share some pictures of the do here :)

Transferring Blog Owners

Initially i thought this was not possible but a quick search in Google made is easy as pie.

Check the link here to do it quick and easy :)

Got it swapped from my initial streamyx account to my gmail accout.

Also had Google + added to the site as well via here ! :)

Live Activity Feed

Man....these days blogs and Facebook integration is becoming the norm and can be a cause for serious headache....lol

These days it's about +1 and Likes.....it's a big marketing tool in todays tactical warfare for on line marketing.

A friend asked me if this possible and as I haven't blogged in awhile I decided to test it out. I ain't no blog freak or site guru but I believe google can help out in many ways...

http://www.google.com.my/search?q=adding+activity+feed+to+blogger&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari&redir_esc=&ei=kmmYTqe-EcfZrQeNwOSMBA

A quick search on google denotes a lot of guides but some are quite complex...nevertheless I think I got it working and am waiting for the verdict if it's what she is looking for.

2011

I need to add some contents here....maybe dredge up some stuff that i've been up to lately as well.

Put up some pics of my me biking or cooking...

Ok...yosh !! time to add some updates !!
