Puspakom and Car Ownership Transfer....

My dad has passed on for some time and one of the things left un-done is the ownership of his car, which is currently being used by my mom.

So i have been trying to assist my mom to remediate the issue....its quite simple so FAR.

Check list :-

1. Full settlement of the car - DONE
2. Letter of discharge - DONE

**Both 1 and 2 in a day albeit a long one, submitted at 11 AM and getting the letter of discharge at 4 PM....why it takes so long in this digital age...GAWD knows....

3. PUSPAKOM Car Inspection - WHAT ? yeah....have to do this....which brings me to this blog post.
4. JPJ to transfer ownership of car which required FORM K3A (of which a kind JPJ Chinese Gentlemen adviced us in the Taman Desa Maybank branch)

So back to number 3, i was googling and thinking that i have to go line up and queue at Padang Jawa Puspakom/JPJ what with my shift work currently in track and VMware training next week, i would be hard press to help my mom.

A little more search brought me to the PUSPAKOM Website

If you notice they have DOOR TO DOOR SERVICE - DAMN~~~ ! Now thats really service....ok you've got to pay for it - RM 100.00 which i think is worth it if you don't have the time of the day to go to Padang Jawa and sit and wait for them to inspect your car.

I made an appointment for tomorrow on the 16th of November, lets see how it goes and i update here if it goes through for my case in lieu of my dad.

Cheers !

NEX Camera (E-mount) : Interchangeable Lens Camera : Sony Malaysia

NEX Camera (E-mount) : Interchangeable Lens Camera : Sony Malaysia

Digital Still Camera : Cyber-shot™ Digital Camera : Sony Malaysia

Hmm...cams these days are getting smaller and smaller.

Just got a NEX-C3 and it absolutely rocks ! Got rid of my Alpha A200 and am running with the NEX machine.

Recommended for normal users like me, though i think the 5N or 7 is the bomb, i also think its an overkill...

Well.....reviews are very subjective and though some may not like it, i love it....
- Light
- Big screen
- Tilt able
- Fast
- Lens changeable
- 3rd party support available for E or A-Mount lens adapters...

Monitor Setup

I was recently thinking of upgrading my monitor and was about to waste money and buy a 20" to 23" Monitor when my wife (bless her soul) reminded me that i had an old white elephant (Haier 32LA9A) lying around not in use.

So i lugged the bugger down to the AV room, dismantled the speakers and tested with a VGA cable....fuhh 1024 X 768 on a 32 incher was cool....but then i couldn't get it up to the resolution i wanted.

So i noted my dock had a DVI and the LCD TV had one too....a few google search denoted that DVI will allow higher resolutions and i noted the max res on the old TV is 1388 x 768 so i tested with a DVI from Tesco.

Fuh......the RM 32.90 is worth every cent......freaking high DVI resolution digital at its best !!!!

Superb !

Piccies later...
