Man....last Sat can be described as full-filling ! We had the Jap Buffet as planned in Shinnichi with Sudha and Angela.

They loved the food...my kid slept quietly for 1 hour as we enjoyed our food and talked abt nostalgia and kids. Later when baby woke....Sudha was busy practicing to be a dad ! Hiaks ! \(^-^)/

Angela loveeeed the food and Sudha was into the Salmon Steaks....wifey had her Mee Suah and Red Wine......ME? i had loads of sashimis and 6 Hand rolls....whooop!!!

Angela and her Salmon Roe and Mango Hand Roll ?????? MANGO ? OMG !!!

At the lobby of Shin Nichi there is a lovely Koi Fish pond and the fishes were so beautifull and big.... Wifey and baby had their piccies taken there :)

Ok the main part of the story is suppose to be the curry mee. But first it went like this....my colleague...neh neehhh the one who wanted to cook? she sprained her back i think....or was it her side waist... So anyway...she wanted me to fetch her to Chow Yang where i got my legs massaged and straightened out.

So after that painfull ordeal....our friend was up to accompany me to makan the Lorong Seratus Tahun Curry Mee (LSRCM for short ok....). The shop is in SS2 and from what i read about in the papers...the fella was saying that its good la and different la....and this and that.... so....i tot to me self....i gots to get me some o' this shiats ! aite?

So anyway i ordered the "famous" curry mee, 1 bowl of Fuk Zhao Fish Ball, Barley Ice and Snow Fungus with Papaya for my colleague.

You know wat...IMHO i dunno whats so "hyped up" abt the noodles...i think its just so so. Its watery and requires the chilli to hype the taste up to give it that tang, zest or zing or whatever blows ure socks off. It ain't spicy it just ok, i dunno...i mean i have tasted curry mee almost all over malaysia and i think this is just ok la. Nothing to shout about. Maybe u should try the Yu Ai Segambut seafood noodle shop or the curry mee at Tai Ping Ho Chiak near Paramount Garden.

The Fuk Zhao Fish ball were nice, the soup reeks of Aji but i dun feel thirsty yet. The filling could have been more but it was all good.

My colleague said that the Snow Fungus was super sweet....not my kinda stuff.

Maybe i should go to Jalan U-Thant and visit the old ah pek selling the so called "Lar Char" mee or Dirty mee. LOL.... anyways been there and tasted the 100 year mee liaoz.
