I was in Rawang the other day just driving through and noticed that it has flourished over the years. I used to go there during my chop shop days with Leong when we sourced for body or car parts for our rides.
Now it looks more Klang-ish....but the roads in some parts still suck and the jams can be still horrendous.
They have alot of shops and great food eateries in Rawang these days. The last time i went to Rawang was back when my sis just bought a Kia Rio Station Wagon and we had to go down there to pickup the car from the Kia yard.
Rawang looks clean except for their traffic at the toll area....notorious.
It seems like a sleepy town in the previous years.
It has grown over the years i guess....progress. SO anyways....i wanted to head back home and i used the GCE (Guthrie Corridor Express), its good to learn some alternative way home during jam situation.
These days...even a small accident can hamper the whole traffic on the NKVE....its stoopid that a small accident and the person driving on the lanes behind has the audacity to slow and look and point and ooh and ahh over the accident and when you honk at them and finally pass them they have the cheek to give you a what's your problem ? face to you....
If i wasn't so pressed for time to get back to my kid i would have shouted and yell at them for being so inconsiderate.
Ok enuff blah blahs ! So when i did encounter a jam caused by those inconsiderate jerks....i decided to look for an alternative so i used the GCE via the road just before Rawang exit. Its abit further yes, some ppl just won't understand and say it best to stay in a jam. Dude i dun do jams hahahahah !
So anyways....its really really clear and nice to drive...then suddenly you realise something....GCE is just a waste of money....worst of all OUR money. The Gahmen decided to build a road from Shah Alam all the way to a road tat exits just before the Rawang exit for what? Wasted millions and billions to do another road that the NKVE could have serve those who wanted to go to Ipoh.
IMHO There's no difference....they just cut another route parallel to the NKVE for wat? Aiyoo...............lay man like me think oso dam s2pid la...sigh....wat to do?
3 Tolls before you reach an exit that joins and combines to......you guessed it ! the NKVE !!!! hehehehehe
my 2.5 cents....... :P but.....i got home without having to be stuck in a jam....and being malaysian....we still wanna complain !!! tee hee hee...
